The best purchase I ever made for my home back in the USA (and it's still there) is a water cooler and set of 5 gallon jugs. I go to a store that filters and softens the local tap water into a refreshing and almost sweet beverage (great in coffee). Being from Arizona, I am a chronic water drinker.

With that said, I do allow myself a bottle of coke every day, but out here across the pond, it's real cane sugar. As for the health risks.... meh. Death by heart attack, death by the many different cancers out there, or death alone in a nursing home. None sound very good.

I like Dr.Pepper when I absolutely have to have a soda!I also like Sprite mixed with water.I never did like the taste of water, has to have something in it for flavor.I also enjoy iced tea and lemonade.I do agree that plain water is better for you. It's just not something I can drink by the glass full unless something is mixed with it.
  • RosaG 2012/05/13 18:27:28
Mostly water throughout the day with a glass of coke every now and then for the taste. Especially when there's hot weather, with ice and lemon.
Of course water is far healthier, but I'm pretty sure not all these things about coke are true. I tried both the thing with the nail and with the cleaning away of corrosion and neither turned out to be true.
