As a religious person.....Eve sinned first because she was the first one to get tempted into eating the apple then she gave it to Adam.

You know, It makes no sense arguing with each other over if God exists or not.
Atheists, if you believe that God does not exist then that is your choice, but i will not force my beliefs down your throats, just to convert you.
I can understand a little why Christians get upset when some people do not believe in God because of how beautiful the world is.

God gave us free will, people have the choice to believe in him or not.
I know that some people do not believe in free will given to us by God either, but that is okay. :D

I believe Eve took the first bite from the forbidden fruit.

God blessed them, saying, "All this is for you. Help yourself to anything you like. But never touch the tree in the middle of the Garden. That tree gives knowledge of good and evil. The day you eat its fruit, you will die."

God did not mean that Adam and Eve would drop down dead the moment they ate the fruit from the tree. He meant that in time they would die with out His Spirit dwelling in them.

One day, Eve was gathering berries for dinner when she heard a silky voice behind her.

"Has God told you that you can eat the fruit from all the trees?" the voice asked softly. Eve turned around to see a snake talking to her.

"God has told us we can eat all the fruit except for what grows on The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil," Eve told the serpent.

"Oh come now, that's silly! I hardly think such a lovely fruit would do you any harm," the serpent lied. "God knows that if you eat from The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you'll become just like God, and will be able to decide for yourself what is right and what is wrong."

The woman looked at the fruit and thought how tasty it looked. She thought how wonderful it would be to be as wise and powerful as God. She believed the serpent's lie and ate the fruit.

She felt a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach. She fidgeted and wondered what was wrong with her. Suddenly she realized that she was feeling guilty -- she had disobeyed God and knew she'd done something wrong.

Eve hurriedly picked some more fruit and took it back to Adam. They ate the fruit and sat in gloomy silence. As soon as they ate the fruit a change came over Adam and Eve. They became unhappy and fearful of God.

Eve, unless she and Adam took a bite at the same time........which is possible....you decide!

"And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

Eve was deceived by the devil, tricked so to say. Adam did it when he knew he should not. I learned this at my church.

actually the first person to sin in the Bible was the devil himself followed by the fallen angels. The first human to sin has to be Eve but just to clarify this, she did nor eat an APPLE.The name of the fruit that she ate was not stated in the Bible......

Great question jt ! I believe it was Eve who ate the apple from the tree of knowledge and
sinned first ! Perhaps they were both to blame. Adam was instructed by God what not to do in the Garden and he did not stop Eve. Both guilty !

That we are allowed to make free choices even if it means breaking one law to fulfill another. If Eve had not made the choice to eat the fruit for the wisdom, they would still be in the garden, leisurely wandering and living in complete innocence, just like children, because that is as they were described. Then none of us would be here, we are to learn from this that we are able to choose, but to chose wisely for the better of our lives.
