What Is The Gospel?

I'm a Christian Believer
here. I believe that as Jesus gave us all immortality, the wicked and the
unbelieving go to a horrible disgusting and evil eternal afterlife. (Not very
pleasant to think about). And the believing go to Heaven. This is their eternal
life, and it is both spiritual and physical, because Jesus died physically and
came back from the dead physically.

The good news is, everyone is
immortal. The bad news is, some of us are going to have an eternal life when we
would prefer death over. :/

The GREAT NEWS! is that no one needs the bad
eternity. We just need to trust in Jesus as the only way to live with our holy
precious Father in Heaven, because of the shed blood and sacrificed life of
Jesus, who was given to Mankind from God to live a perfect, totally moral and
clean life for all Humans, because none of us can, before he was killed on the
Cross for all of our misdeeds, called "sins". Jesus proved he was God by
returning from the dead three days, spoke a while with his disciples, and then
went to Heaven, where he prepares the Mansions and other rewards where all
Believers, whether they are Jewish or anything else, that all of us (Believers)
will receive for our Eternal life with our precious God.

The reason why
I"m saying this here is because this is immediately what I thought of when I saw
the word "Immortality". Soon, there will be a great event in the world where all
Believers in Jesus will go to Heaven, before death. This event is commonly
called, "The Rapture". The Rapture precedes a Seven Year reign of terror, both
figuratively and literally, by both an evil man possessed by Satan, who carries
out persecution of new Believers in Jesus (Who accept Jesus as their sacrifice
for their sins after previous Believers have went to Heaven), and natural
disasters that altogether kill so many people that Jesus needs to directly
return in person to put a stop to all the killing before everyone is wiped
out.

Sins carry eternal consequences when we committ them, and everyone
committs them. Unfortunately this means that we must face those eternal
consequences if we have no way of repaying them. Being eternal, well, of course
we can't repay them. But Jesus is eternal, and so he has already. But being God,
he has been able to pay for all of our sins directly by his spiritual and
physical sacrifice on the Cross at Calvary.

Once Jesus returns and
protects the remaining Believers from genocide, he will establish a 1,000 year
Reign called the Millenium, where the world will be perfect for 1,000 years.
(More on that in another thread. ) After the 1,000 years of perfection on Earth,
there will be a short rebellion and then finally after Jesus puts down that
revolt, the universe will experience ETERNAL perfection and bliss under the
harmony of Man with God (The most important aspect of Eternity) and Angels.

So. . . we can all gain immortality by humbling ourselves, confessing
our sins, asking God to forgive us, accepting the truth that Jesus died for us
and rose from the dead three days later, and trust in that fact that Jesus has
earned Eternal Life for us.

Before the Rapture and then the Seven Years
of hell on Earth occur, which is called by some the Tribulation, we have the
option of accepting Jesus'es promise to us now, and therefore being spared the
Tribulation, and rule with Jesus during the 1,000 years of perfection on Earth,
and then finallly experience eternal joy and happiness forever and ever, without
flaw.

If we wait too long, we might not get another chance to accept
Jesus. Ever. Things like freak accidents and such can put a
damper on Eternity if we let them. This entire post is the best I could manage
to share the Christian Gospel, which it is known as, and is my fullest
understanding of true immortality.

If by 'belief' you mean the ordinary sense of having faith in something (here meaning Jesus), as being necessary to salvation, what are we to make of Romans 2:14-15?

For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another...

Here, Paul seems to be saying that belief is irrelevant, because there's a higher law of conscience in operation in all people. Moreover, 'gentiles' (ethnos in the Greek) would include not only non-believing pagans, but would also, I think, suggest the completely secular and non-religious, such as atheists.

So it has nothing to do with how you live, but what you believe?
