The G-22 is full sized and based on the G-17. The G-23 is a compact and is based on the G-19. Other than mag capacity, bbl and slide length they are the same.
This web page has all the information you'll need.... http://www.glock.com/

OK first let me explain what is going on here.
I mentioned your question to my brother a short time ago and though he knew it was already somewhat answered, he felt that the information provided was somewhat insufficient. so he did some research and this is what he came up with.
Mind you we were already quite familiar with the brand, as well as several others, we, that is my brother and I, enjoy researching things and guns have been an interest of ours for some time, mainly because the movies never seem to get it right, these days we spend a lot of time spotting the various guns we see and what the movies are doing wrong . . .
So here is what he came up with.
First of all: a little of its history.
Glock is Austrian. Founded in 1963 by Gaston Glock.
Glock produces so called "safe action pistols" Because there are no safety mechanisms on the outside of any Glock gun. Modern Glocks use three automatic internal safeties when your finger is away from the trigger. This makes the Glock easier and safer, especially under pressure.
    The Glock 22
    Caliber: 40
    Clip Capacity:
    Standard: 15 rounds
    Optional: 17 rounds

    The Glock 23
    Caliber: 40
    Clip Capacity:
    Standard: 13 rounds
    Optional: 15 or 17 rounds

These are some of the more important things you should know if writing about them, since...

These are some of the more important things you should know if writing about them, since it is usually where most people mess up, specifically with the number of rounds, you see the action hero fire four hundred rounds out of a 15 round gun.
I hope this helps you and please if you need any more information please ask us, my brother loves looking these things up.
P.S. why the hell are you using such a high caliber gun? I mean, really? 40 is pretty excessive!
    Yours faithfully, Espy and Sony.

Please explain how a .40 cal is excessive. And just so you know the thing that feeds ammunition into a handgun is not a "clip" its a "magazine." A clip is what feeds ammunition into a magazine for easy loading. What your post should read:

    The Glock 22
    Size: Standard
    Caliber: 40
    Magazine Capacity:
    Standard: 15 rounds
    Optional: 17 or 22 rounds

    The Glock 23
    Size: Compact
    Caliber: 40
    Magazine Capacity:
    Standard: 13 rounds
    Optional: 15 or 17 or 22 rounds

There are also 10 round magazines to make the gun California legal. But who cares about California. I know this thread is a couple years old but I couldnt let it slide. Thanks

Well, I've done the same thing in the past, so I don't blame you.
In my defense however, it was my brother who provided me with most of the information, and we don't get our terminology right 100% of the time.
By "excessive" we meant that the .40 cal is more than most people can handle in this particular gun, and a good deal more than is actually necessary.
And of course, who cares about California, except someone who actually lives there and worries about guns.
The first applies to me, the second, not so much.
    See yeah.

23 is a bit shorter than the 22, and the sights are closer together.
    http://www.glockfaq.com/conte...
And apparently, 23's only hold 13 rounds and 22's hold 15.

Just out of curiosity, have you seen the movie Equilibrium?
not the best filming I've ever seen, nor the best acting, but the message is a powerful one, just wondering what your views on that are.
though in that case it was a heavily modified Beretta 92.
by the way I mean this as a joke of sorts referring to your little argument with Found In Christ, so don't jump on me.
