These kind of company guard their recipe secrets like bank guard their gold. They would never tell anyone what their secrets are. This is purely malicious and untrue.

This reminds me of the chain email that went around in the 90s claiming that P&G; (Proctor & Gamble) was owned by the Church of Satan. I won't believe this, not for three seconds. No business operated by sane people (or even insane people) would ever consider using a product from aborted fetuses - especially for something as mundane as a flavor enhancer.

Of course, I just drink beer, so this doesn't really affect me anyway.

I had to ponder that for a while and must disagree. Something had to spark the belief. That's an easy one with respect to God; something created time. Personally, I doubt everything being "taught" and feel what ever it was fits the bill. Like maybe the Great Kaliem Kinzo a la Binzo!

The thing that sparked belief is that man wanted to understand things and many things were completely out of his realm of knowledge at the time. The only way to explain things like an eclipse or volcanic eruption was to think that there was a superpower in charge of everything. That is where the idea of gods came from. They caused whether and all kind of other natural phenomena. They believed that during eclipses, the earth was coming to an end and that if the gods were pleased and sacrificed to all would be rights again.

Most of the time those sacrifices did work. The eclipse went away and the volcanos eventually stopped. People or animals were sacraficed.

Sacrifice of any kind disgusts me. I do agree with your assessment, it's all about curiosity. But anything more complex than "something made everything and might care" is conjecture. We do the best we can until the whole belief thing becomes political.

    >>>Do you believe the company selling the cell lines.<<<

    Yes. From Abcams's web page:

"Human Embryonic Kidney (HEK) 293 cells were originally derived from human embryonic kidney and subsequently demonstrated to be a useful cell type to produce adenovirus, other viral vectors, and effectively glycosylated human recombinant proteins. They are therefore used for virology studies and transfected to express recombinant proteins for studies in a number of research fields."

    >>>Have you done any research at all on the subject ?<<<

Well, since your research seems to be substandard, allow me to explain it to you.

There are no ingredients in Pepsi extracted from aborted babies. (Reference: http://www.lifesitenews.com/n... )

Pepsi is testing chemicals against fetal tissues to find combinations to which the flavor receptors within the tissues respond. So while Pepsi is using the fetal tissues, it is not using in the Pepsi products as a flavor enhancer.

I just did a Google search, and checked on the first 10 sites. Pepsi is mentioned in two of them, food manufacturers are mentioned generally in several more. But every one of them point to the use of fetus parts in RESEARCH about the food additives - not fetus parts in the additives themselves. Read a bit more critically.
