I think it does. Music has energy and it affects my mood when I plant things. Classical seems to be the best to play (I always play music inside or out). But I also play other type music too. My plants are happy unless I sing to them myself. That never works out well! The garden

Or atleast, I know of one very successful green thumb that has a speaker system outside on his property & very much believes it helps them.

I believe it has been proven. Anyway, I couldn't help but be reminded of an episode from Jimmy Neutron. Sorry, for the childish reference.

Studies have been done to prove that. It does matter what kind ( soft or hard ).

Personally experimented with this and found that plants that have music thrive better than the ones who are subject to a rough environment with violence, heartache and pain. It depends on the vibes of the music though, they have to be uplifting and bringing joy to the Universe to be able to bring in the green growth that is needed around. While the others dries and kills the plants around.

Proven studies show that simply talking to a plant makes it more likely to be healthy. It's not about the music though. It's the movement of the air and the stimulation.

When you talk to them, don't you feed the Co2 which is food to them?

I have no clue and was thinking no but looks like some people have tried experiments and music has helped some how... not sure how...

MythBusters took on the myth and Rock did the best, then classical music, then talking to it, followed by no sound at all.... though I do wish they redid it because they did have a problem, but the problem happened to all of the plants not just one group so they still counted it.

Obviously. All sounds of nature a form of music, as well music helps trees grow well, as per Indian classical music, a vocal singer can make the gods of rain to pour, can lit fire, and so on....

Ravi Shankar made a classical album with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Andre Previn was the conductor. My plants like that music!

Wow just see plants have no boundary restrictions, as well music, when we listen to people Likr Ravi Shanksr, Hari Prasad Chourasia(fiute), Zakir Huusain(tabala) time no constraint. Plants also love it, it should be continuous or they die.
