Do you think any for profit news station is balanced?

Not if you mean "perfectly balanced", but that would even depend on your outlook.
FOX at least gives time to some major-LWNJ's like Alan Colms on every segment they do.
This is like if MSNBC gave time on their shows for Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin to express their views on each subject.
By the way, NPR's editing has never been terribly well balanced either, so the non-profit distinction does not guarantee balance, any more than what we get from "for profit" stations/channels.

No, but I think balance is overrated. I would rather have the truth than a distorted story to make "both sides" look equivalent. Also, there are not two sides to every story, there is the truth and then there are 1000 different opinions, some based on the truth and some not.

Fox does a great job of presenting both views.

That depends on which Fox outlet you watch.

IMO, Ruppert Murdock is destroying the conservatives in America. Whether this is deliberate or an accidental result of being raised under a multi-party parliamentary system rather than a 2 party system is something each person needs to decide for themselves. Clearly the Republicans have been pulling to the right since Murdock launched his US operations. This is alienating more and more of America's younger workers and as the WW II generation starts to die off will leave the Republicans with an ever shrinking base.
