Let him play where he wants to play. Everybody else does. Being a Laker fan, I would love for him to go to LA LA.

Sports figures in general are divas of the highest order, they are only going to go where they can con management into the highest figures and the least demands.

True stars often stay with a club and show SOME loyalty along the way, Howard in NOT one of them.

Back in the old days, signing a contract meant something. Today, if you don't get your own way, you can force your team to trade you. Orlando will be screwed. I shouldn't care, since I'm a Celtics fan. Brooklyn would be a very good team with Howard, but not a championship threat. Remember, Howard helped get his coach fired. What he is doing to the City of Orlando is pretty poor.

I voted no mostly because I despise all teams from New York, and despite his personality issues I believe Howard is a good player. And I don't want the Nets to have a single good player. Ever. For all of eternity, the Nets should fail at all things.

Although a player can't dictate where they will go in any pro draft, with the exception of the Manning clan, he should be able to leave the team if he is not happy where he is playing, I also feel that a player should play out his contract, but when he's not happy where he is, such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar when he wanted out of my beloved hometown of Milwaukee, Wi, the team should let that player go,and to where he wants to go, this can be done, otherwise you'll have a lot of locker room drama if owners balk at it, hell, it got the Magic's coach fired and it still wasn't good enough for Dwight, and this was after he said he would stay, now he wants out, AGAIN?... GET RID OF HIM!

He is a big ol' baby but that doesn't mean she should play or not play for a certain team. I hope the Nets are better than the Heat this year.

Here's another case of a spoiled athlete who needs to have a reality check! There are millions of people out there who would love to have one one thousandth of his annual salary and would show up for work and do their job to the best of their ability, but not these damned divas!

Who did he sign his contract with? If he didn't want to be with this team, he shouldn't have signed the deal.

Team dynamics change all the time, as new players are recruited and other players retire or move to other teams. You can want to be on a team originally, but then all the people you worked well with end up retiring or leaving for one reason or another. And do you wanna stick around if the new team dynamic isn't working for you OR anyone else? The starting 5 that took Orlando to the finals has pretty much left the building, it's been proven Howard can't carry the team on his own, and the new guys don't seem to be of much help. It's not in anyone's interest for Howard to stick around.
  • Common ... robbt1 2012/07/16 02:27:08
    Common Sense Conservative
Then he should have signed 1 year deals or stick it out. Nobody is above a team and nobody is above the league.
  • robbt1 Common ... 2012/07/16 08:05:41

... You can be released from your contract and traded. You do know that right?

If that's what the employer wants it can. But the employer holds the cards.
  • fooley177 robbt1 2012/07/16 15:42:35

It's in ORLANDO'S interest. Without Howard they are in last place for sure.
