Global Warming..or Climate Change as it is now referred to in progressive circles...is only a crisis if your a socialist looking for ways to further your power through more government intervention...as far as rising temperatures ....there is NO consenus among scientists that rising temperatures are a result of CO2 in the atmosphere...there are some that say the rise in temps are caused by the "Greenhouse" efftect...and there are some that say the rise in temperature is a normal function of long term planetary changes....it is a fact from years roughly 400 - 1100 AD global temperatures were higher than they are presently....and without the help of CO2.....in addition, the last 10 years of temperature readings have shown a moderation, with 2009 being one of the coldest in world history and 2010 predicted to cooler still...so before we go spending trillions and trillions and trillions of dollars to the detriment of lifestyles, loss of liberty, and loss of financial independence...lets make damn sure what we are doing is correct...there is to much documentation on both sides of the argument to form a conclusion....finally it seems the people pushing for "cap and trade" and all the other "save the earth" programs are the ones that will benefit the most......
