Not surprising. Developing nations should be able to scale back emissions far easier than the U.S. due to the amount of developed industries we have. Considering our size the U.S. has made amazing progress in cutting back our emissions.

Yea pretending that carbon is a form of pollution has made it possible for every one to get in on this scam.

If they can do it, that certainly is embarrassing for more industrialised nations that cannot.

There's a bit of a difference when it comes to developing infrastructure vs. installed and outdated infrastructure.

Tells me two things , you did not read the article and you nothing about the subject...America is actually by far the most progressive nation when it comes to energy use and has reduced its emissions by 2% every year for 20 years now while busting its energy efficiency by 5% every year for the past 30 years.

"you did not read the article"

The fact that you lead with a false assumption means I can't be bothered to read the rest of your post, let alone respond to it.

bull crap...I read the stupid fluff artical. And unlike you I have been tracking this subject for 40 years...all the way back to "global cooling" as the battle cry of the anti-American eco-terrorists.

Wonder how a nation with no industry and that does not use oil can “cut emissions” ? Brazil that is , Mexico now owns the American auto industry .(BTW thanks Obama with out your help we probably never would have lost Chrysler to Mexico)

This is BS and just another way for a selected few to make billions.
we're seeing emissions trading systems emerge in Mexico and South Korea," the Climate Institute's Erwin Jackson said.
Goldman Sach's can't wait to be the premier market makers for this in the U.S.
So if you have money you get to burn baby burn...

I can't see how this is bad if OTHER countries are taxing companies on this. Hopefully the Chinese can make the taxes so high that it'll make sense to bring jobs back to the US. And I don't think call centers produce many emissions, so I think we're fine with India. And I don't know what we get from Brazil, short of waxes and maybe coffee. Plus our air will be cleaner, and while I haven't made up my mind on global warming, it can't be a bad thing to have fewer pollutants in the air.
