Canadian socialist meets with US Democrats on socialized medicine

- The leader of Canada’s New Democratic Party Jack Layton linked the future of his country’s universal health care system to President Obama’s public health care program in a Washington speech Wednesday.

Many conservative groups have pointed to Canada’s universal health care system as a reason to keep the American health care system in the private sector. Americans for Prosperity Foundation's campaign, for example, launched an ad campaign last week featuring a Canadian woman named Shona Holmes who was diagnosed with brain tumor and says in the ad the only way she survived was by seeking treatment in America. ... The Canadian Socialists are more experienced at BS'ing the public about "health care". So I'm not surprised that someone was called South for a consult.

Canadians haven't much of a Government healthcare and imput from them would just add to the confusion that Obama has added to our healthcare! Bring them in and we will really have a messed up system!

After talking to some Canadians who don't think its worth a damn, and its has many different coverage for differented parts of Canada, what I understand it is not Universal healthcare!

What need for medical care? Hell ya been to the emergency room of any hospital lately? That's the primary care for illegals, and those without medical coverage. From there they make a refer to a lot better care then the ones who have insurance. Leave it alone. Just work on the cost.

I have heard that many are happy with their gov healthcare til they really need it.

On the other hand I was very unhappy shelling out close to 10G a year for something we never used...but had to have just in case we really need it.
    A conundrum eh?
We now do HSA w/cat policy. Building nicely...and we do everything poss to stay healthy.
Wonder what they will make us do when they stuff govco care down our gullets?

Make sure your wife does the same thing with a different company. Puts you down as spouse and your covered to. Third, eventually your on SSI, medicare primary, healthcare one secondary, then health care three. I have to carry a extra wallet to carry my insurance cards. Secret is also get a good job, or is there anymore out their.
