and said : I loved David Letterman's line. He called them President-Elect Obama and President-INEPT Bush. How COULD the meeting last very long? It's a chance for the new guy to pick the out-going President's brain. With Duh-bya THAT meeting couldn't take long at all.

and said : It's still a fresh wound - not even a week old. Give it time to heal. I think McCain is a good man, even though I voted for Obama, I just didn't agree with some of McCain's stands. I felt we were very lucky to have two good men who were such a stark difference from what we have in the White House now. I think McCain will prove what an honorable man he is by helping to smooth the way. He certainly made a start with that very gracious concession speech. Grace and Honor, your name is McCain.

and said : You obviously don't acknowledge the Constitution of the United States. Obama won the popular and the electoral vote, which according to the Constitution makes him the president-elect. You also obviously think the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic Pary and the Republican Party, and the prying media are not very bright. The FEC is charged with making sure that candidates are eligible to to be president. It's not quite like flashing a fake ID at a college bar, they completely "vet" you, from stem to stern, top to bottom. And you don't think the Democratic Party would vet any candidate they would back? Not to mention, you don't think Hillary or any one of the other Democratic candidates would have used that if it were true? Then, if the Republican Party could have proven that Obama wasn't an American Citizen it would have disqualified Obama, by the rules set out in that Constitutuion you don't acknowledge, and it would have been an automatic win for McCain. Do you think that NO ONE in the Republican Party is smart enough to think of that? THEN, the media. The media has the resources to find out where every mole is on a person's butt. The day after "Joe the Plumber" was on TV they knew he didn't have a plumber's license, and owed back taxes. What a coup THAT would have been for any one of them to break THAT piece of news about Obama!. Do you really think that they wouldn't have taken that opportunity? And don't quote lines about the "liberal press." All media is owned today by very large corporations that consider advertising and sales dollars as king and would politically side more with George Bush than Barack Obama, and an opportunity to break the news story of the CENTURY would be wa-a-ay too much to pass up. Call yourselves what you really are: The Sore Losers Party. We lived through 8 years of a do-nothing C student who has hurt and embarrassed us at home and abroad. Now we have an OPPORTUNITY for something different. Why not try to help? Sign your petition? I wouldn't want ANYONE to think I was THAT S-T-U-P-I-D!

She seems like those people who see the world in two parts, ME and all the rest is just NOT ME. She, like Bush, has been very good at getting people to do what she wants them to do. In most quarters they'd call that manipulative (how about maniPALINtive?) and we all know people like that, and usually don't like them a lot.

and said : I think it's pretty much a toss up. BUT I think these are two people who are very good at getting those around them to do whatever they want. Sarah has used her looks and coquettishness, and Duh-bya has used Daddy and his money. Neither has had to use a whole lot of smarts to get what they want, and it's worked for them. Remember, many were fooled by Duh-bya, the under-achieving C student, and Sarah will reinvent herself and fool those very same people in 2012, and we will have to live through the pain and embarrassment all over again.

Actually, it's going to be interesting to see how they reinvent Palin to get her ready for 2012. From what we're hearing she didn't get too many high marks from the McCain staff, very demanding, very diva, not too bright - perfect for the Bush administration, but let's hope not for our future.

and said : My great-great-grandparents were conductors in the Underground Railroad in the south, so I think they would be very proud. I used to think about all they had seen in their lives. My g-g-grandmother lived to be 110, so she grew up with horses & wagons, and died in the time of cars and airplanes. I'm old enough to remember segregated lunch counters, and "coloreds" sitting in the back of the bus. When we switched buses to go out to the suburbs where we lived we thought sitting in the back of the bus was great, but I remember the bus driver yelling at us because the back was for n----s. My mother pointed out that there weren't any coloreds on the bus, so he said we could sit there until any got on, but then we'd have to move. I remember seeing the indoor restrooms marked "white only" and the outhouses in the back were marked "colored." I marched and picketed and I can't believe I actually lived to see this day. I'm so proud of us, and am moved to tears everytime I think about it. If you ever get to the point that you aren't so emotionally needy that you have to have someone you can consider "less than you," you'll see that this was a great time to be alive to see this happen. What a wonderful message to the world. Say, was your dad ever a bus driver?

and said : Barack Obama was born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father was from Kenya and his mother was from Kansas. As far as I can remember Hawaii is a state in the United States, and his mother was a US citizen. Both these facts would make him a natural born US citizen. Not only that, but any person has to prove eligibilty by filing to run for President. You don't just decide to run. You have to file your Statement of Candidacy by filling out forms for the FEC (Federal Elections Commission) The FEC ensures that candidates have satisfied the eligibility requirements. According to Article 2, Section 1 of the US Constitution, "No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." This poll is about as stupid as the one that tried to say that John McCain PURPOSELY crashed his plane during the Viet Nam war so he would be captured. The premise was that he knew he would later be able to leverage that into a career in politics. Yeah, and I suppose he holds his arms like that just to get sympathy.
