Ledger was obviously influenced by Nicholson's portrayal in his voice and certain mannerisms, but Ledger creates a much more terrifying and believable character in Dark Knight. Nicholson, wasn't the true original Joker, but he defined the character to the masses, whereas Ledger immortalized the role in his Oscar-worthy performance, sadly being his last role, albeit an unforgettable one. Usually under these circumstances I would go with the original, but Ledger's Joker is too impressive to dismiss, therefore Ledger played the better joker in the Batman movies. 2008-07-23T21:47:27Z 2008-07-23T21:47:27Z Brewgs Who played the best Batman? http://www.sodahead.com/question/88140 Who played the best Batman?
(Movies)

  26769 answers, +132 raves

Brewgs answered
<img alt="Michael Keaton. Bale might play a better Bruce Wayne, but he has nothing on Keaton's charisma as the caped crusader. His voice change in Batman Begins comes off stale and forced, but becomes more tolerable in Dark Knight, Keaton embodies Batman with more believability. Hands down, Keaton is the victor. 2008-07-23T21:40:01Z 2008-07-23T21:40:01Z Brewgs
