and said : I think he is a good choice for a variety of reasons - his solid economic background, likability, and general popularity as well as a good position on some policies. As to whether he is conservative enough, I really don't care. I also think there are several others well qualified. I do not care for Huckabee,or Paul - not that either is being considered.

No eventuraly another country would have put an end to Texas.
and said : Better the US than Mexico - think it would have been forced to be with one or the other. It was accepted with it's Constitution which says it can divide into 4-5 states if it wants too - dumb thing to do but it is there.

State government should be the only ones allowed to have a say on this.
and said : I think each State should decide but I think it will or has become a federal matter. It is nutty out there right now. I believe it is time for this country to have #1 Civil Unions between any two adults with all attendant legal privileges whether romantically involved or not - required of all couples. #2 For those who wish, a religious ceremony in addition to the civil union. Grace Kelly and Prince R were joined by civil ceremony and then the church ceremony - that was roughly 50 years ago. Time for us to catch up. If the goal is for legal union, then this would solve it. If the goal is an attack on religion, it won't. Depends on the goal.

I think I spent time explaining what I thought should be done with the issue. Sorry that was not what you were looking for; I will just click yes or no next time. and said : Apparently his vow/oath is meaningless. He will be court marshaled and removed from service. Personally, I would disavow him even as a friend. Not because of his stand but because his vows mean nothing and he cannot be trusted. If he cannot keep a vow to his Nation, nothing is meaningful to him. As is said, he has the right to free speech and to take a stand, actions have consequences.

A re-vote should be done so voters get to be heard
and said : She did win, he did take his name off the ballot (not a requirement) - a re-vote should have been done (he opposed at every turn - so much for uniting - or he means unite only for me or you are toast) They should count, they should be seated, or they should vote for someone other than Obama

and said : I was thinking it was going to be Richardson or Edwards but the big rah, rah article in this Sunday's parade about Webb makes me think it will be him. Usually a media driven pump up comes before the choice. And we think we chose who gets it, don't we!(said in sing-song voice) Soon they will pick the R choice, should be interesting since they have annointed Obama. Can hear it now: Let's see who can draw the least votes .......

No but it is my responsibility as the consumer to do something about it.
and said : No, it is the responsibility of the patient to consult with their doctor. Using the information from the insurance company to research and discuss with ones doctor is probably a good idea, not all doctors are right about all things. Just gave me a thought of a government employee in the bowels of some building deciding whether my medication was right or not and actually having the power to control it. Yikes!! Makes insurance companies look good.

and said : Interesting political video. Congress has much to answer for but few, if any, will ever place any blame there. That is where the control is, has been and will be. I really think it is time to throw 99% out. I would think Lieberman should stay and one or two others who work across the aisle but the rest, partisan fools with no interest in the country but lots in themselves.
