The one person I miss most is:
and said : My mom. Passed away 6 months ago, age 58. Sudden illness from no where, within 4 weeks, she was gone.

Yes.
and said : The last thing that I want to do as a Christian is turn someone off from God because of my actions or words. We all fall short somewhere. I've never understood why alot of Christians feel the need to 'appear' like they are perfect. God loves us DESPITE the fact that we are NOT perfect.

All the time.
and said : .....well not ALL the time - but more than sometimes. You have to understand that the thing with Christians is, they are human and some - if not alot - don't always act in the nicest way. But those are always the ones singled out and unfortunately define the group. Just like any other group. Not all democrats are extreme liberals, and not all republicans are extreme conservatives. It just so happens if you are on the outside looking in - it's the 'extreme' people in any group that you are going to see and base your opinion on that. We are all imperfect humans that, when representing any kind of group, religion or organization - will at one time or another fall short in our behavior or actions. But as far as your specific topic about Christians and their behavior - as a Christian, it does make me mad to see alot of other Christians acting 'holier than thou' and all self-righteous. It's usually those people that have the most to hide.

and said : You know, as a resident of Michigan - whose state has long been in a recession before the big crash of the economy - this is just one more thing that is adding to our troubled state. And as a Michigander and a business owner, I just don't even know what to think anymore. As much as the auto-industry is a part of our state, I do not think they should get a bailout. Yes, that would probably be HORRIBLE for our state - but I just don't think a bailout is fool proof. They may still have just as big of chance at failing.

No. Blackberries are not secure...
and said : There has to be accountability and security. I still believe in the 'old fashioned paper trail'. Especially when it comes to matters in the White House. E-mails and other electronic information being sent - needs to have a print out for future reference if the need arises. Our security could be severely at risk if say Obama gets his daily threat briefing via blackberry. Come on - I know we live and breathe in a technological tunnel - but for the highest good of all concerned........give up the blackberry.

and said : I don't claim to be an expert on unions. I have never worked for one. But, I do own a small business - that is non union. We only have 4 employees. We are commercial roof contractors, which means my crew goes all over the state to do jobs (michigan). You would not believe the stories our guys tell me about places they go to that are union. I think one of the worst was, when our guys were just arriving at a union business - they saw a bunch of employees sitting and tallking outside on the lawn. When they stopped to ask directions for the maintenance office, the question came up to the employees if they were on a break. They proceeded to tell my guys that in their union contract they are specified to do only one task for their job. Their task had been completed for the day, and they were just sitting there on the lawn waiting for their shift to end - IN 4 HOURS!!! They were still getting paid - but because thier union contract stipulated that they only perform a certain task - they didn't have to do anything more. Money going down the drain! No wonder some of these business can't afford to keep their doors open. I do believe that unions did serve a great purpose in the beginning. But alot of the safety, labor and wage issues have now become state and fereral laws or requirements. And by the way, when we were bidding on a project that required us to base our labor on 'prevailing wages', I was pleasantly surprised to see that we pay our guys MORE than sstandard union wages for our area. We expect them to work hard and we pay them well for that! Everyone works as a team to get the job done. That is how it should be.

No, the language would forever stay closely connected to that book.
and said : I think the KJV bible will always be around. But I do have to admit that the NIV bible reads more smoothly for me. I guess the main thing I worry about is after soooo many translations, at what point is some of the bible going to be skewed out of its original meaning? Just a thought.

and said : My mother-in-law. Actually it's all holidays. She put her Halloween decorations up at the end of August - and then took them down 2 weeks before Halloween, just so she could get her Christmas decorations up! God love her
