and said : I think I'm pretty good (no way perfect :). Time will tell. I have two teen boys, mostly stay out of trouble. Very active in sports, music and church. A lot of the kids just call me "mom." (youth group kids and HS friends.) I am always amazed when they choose to add me as a friend on MySpace of Facebook so I guess I am cool enough. I truly love them all and I think that's what works, love. :D

and said : I love to give hugs :D Here's one you may not be aware of: The Sideways Hug. This is for people that work with young people. Since it may be deemed inappropriate to give a full hug [we] are instructed to do a sideways hug. (I'm not very good at it but I try to remember, at least w/ kids that haven't known me a long time.)

and said : I heard that when Japanese car companies are faced with economic problems that the cuts start at the top! They want to keep their employees. I forget at which plant but the production line had to stop due to slow sales, so... what did the employees do??? They were asked to do community service, at full pay, until the line started back up!

and said : Kudos for that mom. Armed robbery... yeah, she did the right thing. But how did they get that out of control? What did she miss earlier that led to this. Certainly there were smaller incidents earlier on that she should have corrected. My kids... IDK, depends on what they did. If I thought I could make an impression on them without involving the law I would try that first.
