and said : Duh! His use of code and body language has been a hallmark of his campaign. Last October, in his gospel tour of the South, he put 3 homo-haters on stage w him. when he got called on it by the Human Rights Campaign, he put a gay minister on for his Columbia venue. But the man was on so early in the day that he ended up speaking to an empty room. Obama gave Hillary the finger in a recent speech. That's Presidential, or Vice Presidential, as Cheney is the only man in that kind of office who has been crude enough to do that before. And this brushing the shoulder thing accuses the Clintons of racism. Brush off the haters. It's conduct unbecoming the potential commander in chief. But it must play in the world of hip hop, the dominant youth culture, the world of disrespect. If it didn't, he wouldn't be doing it. Sad for such a brilliant and capable person to resort to such crude symbolism.

and said : Obviously an attempt to taint the reputation of Barack Obama. And a clear setup. Volunteers aren't trained to respond negatively to assholes on the phone. They're trained to get off as quickly as possible without incurring the rath of the jerk on the other end. There is no attempt by Planned Parenthood to create a genocide against blacks. In the US during the last census, Hispanic women had 20 percent of all births in 2002, and were the only segment of the population to exceed the replacement rate: non-Hispanic whites only had 60 percent of births, black women, 15 percent, and Asians and Pacific Islanders, just 5 percent. The replacement rate is the number of children required to replace their parents. in fact, in the US, the primary reason that our populace grows is immigration. That is because of overpopulation in poorer countries, for the most part. Oh, and the wording of the question was also loaded. There is middle ground btwn "just tissue" and making racism and abortion the same thing. This is a really poorly worded and intended question.

Yes, the children were in danger.
and said : Turns out some of the mothers were children. Another unfortunate side effect of these sects is that young males are forced out of the groups. If they weren't, there wouldn't be enough young women for each of the olde5r men to have 10 to 15 wives. Works with horses and cattle. Not so much with humans. If the people who choose to do it are consenting adults, more power to them. If they're children and have no choice, it's forcible rape and punishable under US law. Even if the source of the inital call was questionable, the police acted in good faith, and found that crimes were being committed.

and said : First: those of you who say they won't vote for the democrat, whether it's Hillary or Obama, hasn't listened to John McCain. He says his expertise is in foreign affairs, but doesn't know the difference between Shia and Sunni. He doesn't know who is al Qaeda and who isn't. He admits to knowing nothing about the US economy. Hillary Clinton has deep knowledge and the experience of being Bill Clinotn's closest advisor during the most successful Presidency since Roosevelt. Obama is whip smart and learning fast. Either of them is a better choice than McCain. This is about our future. Make no mistake about it. Obama has accused Hillary of belonging to the lobbyists. It's fair for her to answer that charge. She also feels that if Florida and Michigan had been counted that she would be ahead, whether Obama had been fully engaged in those markets or not. All voting pattern indicators say she's right. Plus, momentum wouldn've been favorable to her. The numbers, now, don't favor her, but there are two big contests left. If she loses them, she's out. Obama played the game very well and within the rules. but that doesn't mean he was the most popular candidate. While Hillary has offered him a spot on her team should she win, there has been no counter offer from him, although he's said he has no interest in actually running the country, just plans to be the "leader", sort of Reagan redux. Maybe it's time for him to offer her the dream ticket with him as CEO and her as Chief Operating Officer.

The problem with having state religion is that it might not be your particluar religion they choose. and they could decide that you can't practice your style of religion.

Not sure yet. America is capable of change, but what a racially divided society we live in.
and said : There's a line in "Gangs of New York" which says, "It's easy to make poor people kill each other. Just pay one more than the other." Competition for resources causes anger towards anyone different than oneself. If the economy does much better under a President Obama, and people feel more generous towards one another, race relations will improve. If it doesn't, and President Obama is blamed for that, the probability is that there will be a backwards drift in race relations.

I agree completely. Violent jokes lead to violence acts. Anyway, they aren't funny.

and said : Clinton had been Governor of Arkansas for two terms prior to his run. he said himself that when he first wanted to run, he didn't, because he didn't feel ready. Read this article http://www.dallasobserver.com... about Obama's time in the Illinois lege. Obama is exceedingly talented and was being groomed for this run, by Hillary, no less. He just jumped the gun by eight years.

Les Brown's book "Plan B", available for free on line, outlines a way to build a green future, free ourselves from oil and pollution (and war in the middle east), by having a WWII type building program to build and place windmills on US soil. With the addition of hybrid electric cars, we can drastically reduce the consumption of oil just by plugging in at night. Buy dry, flat land in West Texas, boys. At the current rate of $500 per month per windmill for allowing placement, it shouldn't take long before you're sipping drinks w umbrellas on some tropical isle. It's also part of Hillary's economic plan. she says it'll produce 5 million jobs. Not a bad secondary benefit.

The brokered convention would be the only way to heal the rifts and bring the party back together
and said : By the time the convention comes around, there should be fairly clear information about who can beat the GOP, which is our main goal here. Allowing a brokered convention lets disenfranchised delegates from Florida and Michigan vote without worrying about who won there. And it removes the possibility that Republicans have been voting in our caucuses and primaries to skew the vote to a candidate they feel they can beat. Party members are in this to win. And to govern well so that they win again in the mid-terms and the next Presidential election.

and said : I plan to vote for Sen Obama in the future, but would really like to see him do a term as governor of Illinois first. The US government is the biggest business in the world. Running a smaller business unit is typically how one learns how to run a big one. Even people like Bill Gates, who built their own businesses from the ground up ran small ones first. The economy is in terrible condition. No one since Roosevelt has done such a good job of turning that around as did Bill Clinton. Reagan looked good, but ran the biggest deficit in history at the time to do it. Clinton actually managed to get us into a surplus. Derivative power, inheriting power from a close male associate, whether husband, father or brother, has been the traditional means of breaking the glass ceiling. There's no question that Hillary was closely involved in the first Clinton administration, and that, as a team, they will do great things for the country. I don't understand all the vitriol. Eight years of peace and prosperity weren't all that awful, were they?
