I find this argument weak, though, because the same could easily be said about the gay rights activists, for example-- that they're pushing their agenda onto the rest of the population. That's a double-edged sword.
I would say the only faith that is currently off-limits for criticism and/or mocking in our culture is Islam. People can bash any other faith all day long without complaints, but the second anyone questions Islam, choruses of "Islam is the religion of peace" and denials of any sort of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism existing in the world fill the room.
Hate speech should be considered hate speech whether it is directed towards someone's gender, race, nationality, country of origin, sexual orientation, OR religious faith.

Both- Man's evil and an act of God.
and said : Many people will no doubt be angry with my answer, but I have to say, judging by Scripture, both.
If you read the Old Testament, it is FILLED with example after example after example of the Israelites (Jews) disobeying God and God punishing them accordingly.
He killed an entire generation of Israelites because they grumbled against Him, telling them because of their disobedience and sin, they would never see the Promised Land... Thus, He waited until every single one of that generation died before bringing their children into the Promised Land.
He killed people for worshiping the calf Aaron made while Moses was receiving the Ten Commandments. He killed tens of thousands of people for their sexual immorality. He instituted the death penalty for plenty of sins in Leviticus and Deuteronomy.
All of these deaths were not done out of malice, but to draw the remaining Israelites closer to Him; to show them the result of sin and ask them to repent and be obedient children.
God did not always punish the Israelites by His own hand. He let heathen nation after heathen nation punish the Israelites for their disobedience. The exile to Babylon, anyone? God throughout the Bible allows evil men to punish those He loves as an object lesson.
So we come to the Holocaust. Obviously, it is a product of man, particularly of Hitler. However, the Bible speaks of the sovereignty of God, that nothing in the universe happens without His permission. Is it not possible God used the wickedness of the Nazies to draw His chosen people, the Jews, closer to Him? The atrocities of the Holocaust were the catalyst for the recreation of the nation of Israel in the very place it once was... After thousands of years of Jews being scattered across the earth.
By NO means was the Holocaust a good thing. By NO means should anyone for any reason ever celebrate the torture and deaths of MILLIONS. But the creation of Israel after the Holocaust shows how God can take evil and glean some good out of it.
EDIT: Afterthought. If anyone is asking me *why* I believe God allowed the Holocaust to happened, what it was being used to discipline... That, I have no idea. And it's really none of my business. We all sin each and every day, as people and as tribes and tongues and nations. Why God chooses to discipline some yet let others who are wicked stand is known only to Him. Another horrible, catastrophic day in Jewish eyes is the day the Temple was destroyed yet again in AD 70, half a century after Jesus died. What was the catalyst for that destruction? No one can say for sure other than Jesus prophesied it would happen, and it did, and the Temple has never been rebuilt since.

I didn't vote for Obama not because he's black (more precisely, half-black), but because
a) I'm pro-life. This is my BIGGEST reason for not voting for him. Obama supports eliminating ALL restrictions on abortions, including bans on the vile partial-birth abortion, what liberals call "third-trimester abortions" and what sane people call "partially delivering a live baby, cramming scissors into its skull, sucking its brains out, then delivering the dead baby with a smile on your face and a song in your heart."
b) I'm against raising taxes. Obama supports taxing "the rich" which he initially defined as "someone who makes $250,000 or more a year." Joe Biden "slipped" during an interview and said the figure is actually "$150,000." How long until Obama decides $100,000 is "rich"? Or $75,000? Or $50,000? Slippery slope, slippery slope.
c) I'm pro-troops. Obama wants our soldiers to retreat from Iraq with their tails between their legs so the Islamic terrorists can dance around with their machine guns in triumph over who they call "The Great Satan."
None of that has ANYTHING to do with him having African-American blood in his veins.
It's racist of you to suggest any white person who didn't vote for Obama is a racist.

The other way is to say, "Look, I used to be where you were. I used to be heading for Hell, but I came to faith in Jesus, He changed me, my life is completely different and better since then, and now I'm going to be spending eternity with God. Undecided
and said : Adam and Eve had free will to obey or disobey. After them, thanks to Adam's Original Sin, we are all born into a state of sin. We're powerless to do good or to choose God. The only way someone "chooses" God is because God has awakened him or her from spiritual death and brought him or her into spiritual life. This is the doctrine of election. Left to our own devices, we will always reject God and end up in Hell. Unless God chooses you and opens your eyes, this is your fate.
Should those whose eyes have been opened brag about their salvation and lord it over others? No. Because the Bible clearly teaches what is called "unconditional election" in Calvinism. This is the doctrine that you are not chosen or saved because of anything you do-- not how smart you are, or great you are, or how much stuff you have, or how fantastic you are, or how "good" you are-- you are chosen purely of God's choice, the choice He made from all eternity to select certain people to be His. We all *deserve* Hell because of our sinfulness and cannot complain if that is where we end up, but God-- completely undeserved on our part-- gives His grace to some and brings them into His family and, eventually, Heaven.
Think I'm crazy and way off base? Read Romans 9 for the scoop on predestination and election. And just for kicks, why not search for "predestine" and "elect" and "election" and "chosen" in the New Testament at BibleGateway.com?
This is what I believe as a Calvinist, although there are many Christians who believe in free will.

Last time I checked, we had freedom of religion guaranteed by the Constitution, so by demeaning a religious group and its beliefs, you're a religious bigot and have no right to bitch about any other group in America being persecuted.

I think it's ridiculous for the gay rights advocates to scream "THE MORMONS ARE BIGOTS!" when by saying so, they're revealing themselves as bigoted against LDS religious tenets.
To me, it's almost like if a Black Panther member and a KKK member started screaming "BIGOT" at each other.
Plus, the harassment, the vandalism, the insanity being committed against the LDS Church is absolutely ridiculous.
Gay rights advocates, how can you claim you're speaking out against "H8" being perpetrated against you while you're "H8ing" the people who supposedly are persecuting you? Since when did it become acceptable to fight what you consider hate with more hate!?
and said : I love this site, but I would have some kind of quality control in some areas... Meaning I think any questions that are obviously just perpetrating bigotry and hatred in the guise of free speech would be removed if enough people reported them through downraves as such.
It is one thing to ask a hot-button issue question if you're legitimately looking to spark a civil, honest debate and collect opinions from both (or multiple) sides, and it is completely another to "ask a question" with slanted answers that is blatantly a platform to spread hatred against a group or groups of individuals. I have seen far too many polls that are racist or religiously bigoted or homophobic or fill-in-the-blank that just, in my opinion, pollute the site and make it look bad.
On another topic, I wish you could flag your blogs as "Friends Only" so when you write something, only the people you want to see it will see it. I know there are private groups for this sort of thing, but not all my SodaFriends are in all the groups I'm in.

None of the above
and said : It doesn't bother me when someone says Jesus never existed because that's a red flag that I've met someone completely ignorant of history and have no use for him or her.
The vast, vast majority of historians (that's people with higher degrees in history who are in this field as their profession) acknowledge
1) There was a man roughly 2,000 years ago named Jesus.
2) Jesus came from Nazareth.
3) Jesus started a new religious movement.
4) His followers claimed He performed miracles.
5) He delivered sermons.
6) He was put to death by the Romans.
7) His followers claimed He rose from the dead.
8) His followers went on to spread this news about Him and many ended up dying because they refused to deny this belief.
Note in the above list I write His followers *claim* rather than "He did" or "He was" because secular historians record only what can be proven with secular means.
There are extrabiblical sources for Jesus' existence and these basic facts about Him (Josephus, Tacitus, Lucien, Pliny the Younger, etc.). The delusional few who deny Jesus existed as a historical figure just ignore these sources.
