This question although thought provoking is unanswerable. Believing in Heaven or Hell come under the category of faith. What is faith? It's believing in something in the absence of proof. So, in my own faith, I choose to believe many things...good and evil, but by choice.

70's girl and pj thank you! I will say that McCain showed a lot of grace last evening in his speech. That was the McCain of 2000. Although Obama won, he knows he has 4 years to make some changes, he has a tough road to travel, but we can do it together. He will no doubt surround himself with financial experts and foreign affairs people to help him. This country belongs to US, all of us. Now is the time to come together, look in our hearts for peace...that is where it begins. It's a pleasure to respond to this gracious post. Anyone in a debate that cannot describe what the vice president does...then jokes and again says the wrong thing..is ignorant...but that word wasn't available...So? what happens if she is impeached as Governor? I am sure the republican party will bail her out. After all, they did say this investigation was started by the Obama camp...hahaha..prior to her being considered for the position?...my God there are so many other women qualified. It was started by the republican legilature, and she did abuse her power...I think it's great she was picked by McCain...more and more each day.

While I do believe Palin could not debate the issues as the equally informed candidate that Biden is, I do not believe bashing her or her followers would get the point across. Palin is fulfilling the need of the Republican party. She is appealling to the "Christian" base and she is a woman. So, many Hillary followers will vote thinking or believing she can do the same job. There has been a lot of talk about experience on here in different polls. Some saying they are sick of hearing of experience. Well... After Russia invaded Georgia, Biden NOT Rice, went to Russia with a strong message as Foreign affairs representative, and now Russia is slowly pulling out of Georgia. This is what Reagan did to Iran in 1981. Palin could not debate freely, and yes she would be hard pressed to answer or even know what needs to be done. Biden KNOWS...he has been there and done it for more than 36 years. Would Palin herself set us back 100 years?...My belief is: no...but back 40 years? YES!. If she cannot handle the debates, what happens under real pressure when she has to perform. Hillary said at the convention, "Did you vote for me,Or the issues. I vote on the issues. She will make a great Secretary of State. Palin does not stand for the middle class people. If you make under 250,000.00 a year, how can you vote Republican? It's like saying, hey...it's ok..just pass me by and help the rich who do not suffer when the economy hurts. < although like never before they are thanks to Bush >. I do not like the way this question is asked, it's not provoking critical thinking, it's just provoking anger and perpetuating hate.

Gives me hope that we can get the Federal Supreme Court back on the unbias track. I believe this needs to be a Constitutional Amendment. If not, I will stay with my lack of 1049 rights that a straight married woman has. Does that mean I can withhold taxes? if I'm not considered equal..why pay?

Many Dis-eases are in fact self inflicted. Hypertension, Ulcers, Krohn's Dis-ease...etc...Our mind can cause all of these and more including cancer. Fanaticism to me, is nothing more than fear rearing it's ugly head. I disagree that fanaticism is an addiction. Again, this is just my opinion, fear is the root of all evil.

I'm not crazy about picking either answer, but, one of the great things about this country is our First Amendment right. While I am gay and clearly see the fear and hate of the "alleged Christians", they have a right to voice their opinions. Based on Christianity I suppose somewhere they read that hate and bigotry is a family value. My God believes in loving each other, that all is one and to love our enemies. So, although it is hard to love them, I pray for them. Perhaps my comment is boring, but...it's what I see in true Christianity. It is sad that we expect peace in other countries, when we focus on hate and oppression here.

I liked the Independent John McCain of 2000. Since he has become Bush's echo, I am not wanting 4 more years of the atrocities perpetrated on this country..let alone innocents in other countries. I am glad he picked Palin, it really re-inforces what is important to the Republican party...More importantly, if one more Supreme Court judge resigns or dies, while a republican is in office...women will go back 40 years, and I'm not willing to go backwards. No matter who becomes president we are screwed for 30 years. Think about the bigger picture.

LOL...Although I do not believe Palin is the person for VP, her daughter is responsible for her own actions. And after all, her daughter will marry the father restoring the ethics and morals Palin reportedly based her campaign on in running for Governor. This whole thing is laughable. McCain could have picked several women to run with him. Women who are qualified, but in his haste, and I believe it is haste, he chose a woman to get Hillary's supporters...well he didn't win me over. He should be ashamed of himself voting against the benefits for Vets when he was a tortured Vet. In 2005 alone we lost 2300 men to suicide because their benefits were cut and not enough therapists to treat the soldiers. When I called and offered to give services for free, I was turned down because, " we have plenty of therapists, it's not an issue". Well....why was the waiting list to see one over 4-5 weeks? ok..I realize that's another topic...sorry.

Bill received Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service at Edmond Walsh School at Georgetown Wash.DC. Won a Rhodes Scholarship to University of Oxford in England. Went to Yale Law school for his JD. Not bad for education. Next: he was elected in 1976 as State Attorney general, then 2 years later became Governor of Arkansas, after losing a term against a Republican, he regained Governorship and served for 4 consecutive terms. . He channeled resources to education. Was liberal on abortion < for Roe v Wade >. Introduced Welfare policies that appealed to the conservatives < imagine that >. This required single mothers to name the father in order to receive welfare support. Initiated education programs so that these mothers could also attend school and make a life for themselves, building self esteem for those who could not find a way to get an education. 1987 he served as Chairman of the National Governors Association after being Vice-Chairman.
