This was the suggestion of the DNR. Wolves were over populated in five areas. They almost depleted the moose population. It was down 80% of normal. Many folk living in these areas are dependant on the moose for survival. Action had to be taken and it worked. Wolf populations are back to healthy levels and the moose population is rebuilding. Trapping would normally keep the populations normal but the bunny huggers would rather fill up land fills with their petrolium based clothing than use a biodegradable renewable resource. Fur.
