We already had a global economy; now we have a global economy in trouble. Fixing it requires the participation of leaders across the world. The fact that the PM is stepping up is reassuring under the circumstances and certainly a lot less problematic than the fact that speculators in every corner of the planet can bring down the entire world economy through their greed and incompetence.
