The weak dollar is directly attributable to the national debt, which in turn is directly caused by huge tax cuts on the superrich without corresponding cuts in spending. The only place that sufficient spending cuts could have taken place would be in the extraordinarily bloated defense budget. Partaking in a pointless war while simultaneously cutting taxes on the superrich have driven our country to the brink of national bankruptcy.
