There are so many girls who don't recognize when they're being abused...or if they do they think it's out of "love." We have to show girls (and guys as well, it's rare but they can be abused) that it's not normal for a boy to hit you out of anger, and it doesn't mean love. We need to teach them not to stand for that kind of crap or they'll just be flung from one bad relationship to the next for the rest of their lives. Many girls I've met who are or have been in abusive relationships don't seem to have a clue as to how to get out of one safely; it's like a shock to them and they don't know how to react.
