I'm working an enjoyable job doing things I like doing, but getting paid less than half what I used to make 7 years ago. At this point--just glancing around, you know--I'm just glad to have ANY work at all. Even the rallies in the stock market are about things like, "Company ABC posted quarterly losses that were less than expected." Oh, yeah, let's rally around that! Or, how about, "Mega Corp. posts 3rd quarter profit by cutting 5,000 jobs." Talk about your economic boon.
