I was involved in a similar conversation in a class once. We were discussing the evils of sex tourism, men going to places like Thailand to sleep with underage kids. Some girls in the room actually had different definitions for that event depending if was a man or a woman. They said that for men it was "sex tourism" and for women it was "romance tourism" and it was different for women and acceptable because there was emotion involved and it was "complicated". I've never thought of statutory rape as a complicated issue.
