i like sen. obama's position on just about everything. here's a tidbit from vietnamveteransagainstjohnmcc... and david hackworth ( the highest decorated war hero in all of u.s. history):"none of the (mccain's) awards , less the dfc, were for heroism over the battlefield, where he spent no more than 20 hours. two naval officers (at the pentagon) described the awards as 'boilerplate' and 'part of the s.o.p.(standard operating procedure)medal package given to repatriated (vietnam era) p.o.w.s' " he (hackworth) goes on to write, "the viets would either break a p.o.w. or kill him. pows provided information beyond name, rank, and serial number or they didn't come back."
