The IRS is absolutely legal. How can anyone say the IRS is not legal? Under the Constitution, Congress is able to pass laws. The 16th amendment say this: "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." That looks pretty clear. I think the guy in the video is wrong. He says the "the Supreme Court said the16th amendment did not give the government any new taxing power." But he never cited the ruling. I think it's naive to think the IRS is illegal. Income tax is a major source of revenue. We need revenue to pay for the expenses of government. What would we do to replace the revenue lost if the IRS is abolished? Any answers ?? .
