You are right Arleen and I owe you an apology. I too am Catholic which I think where my anger comes from. I adored Bobby, my brother Ben and I held each other and wept and wept and simply did not understand the ways in which our Lord choose to move that day. When John John ( he would always be that rather than John Jr. ) and Carolyn died, I screamed out loud at him for hours for not having enough instrument training to fly at night. All the guys in my family are professional pilots and we've always had a plane. My flight training knowledge is considerable, so had some reason to be angry I thought. My rage and anger were the heart break I could not face. When I did it was such sorrow. The President had driven through my junior high school driveway and waved at all of us before he boarded the plane to go to Dallas. It seemed such a short time later that our Principal was on the PA system crying. We ( my parents and I ) headed to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving the next day to be with my Grandparents. The second in a very odd event with my Father and " the men in black ", in regards to the President happened on the way. Another story. As soon as we hit the Grandparents I always bolted to my best friend Leigh's house ( she is my daughter's God Mother as her Mother was, long time friends) We spent every second for the next week with both TV's on watching every second crying, watching, learning and making indelible memories of the history we were a part of. I did so much want you to know the passion and love I have felt for so many of the Kennedys. So although I do not agree with all the politics, I love the humanity and the persona of so many. I vote the person not the party, I judge the person not the family. I have voted Democrat, several times. And now I am an American Patriot. 1. a person who loves, supports, and defends his or her country and its interests with devotion. 2. a person who regards himself or herself as a defender, esp. of individual rights, against presumed interference by the federal government. I love my country and I am appalled by my government. Besides owning you my dear friend an apology for not thinking of who and where I was spouting off to and about with my considerably large although well educated mouth. That speaks WAY BEFORE IT THINKS WITH PASSION ON RELIGION & POLITICS! The one thing you did remind me of that is very important. As for Ted in his life and especially in his hour of need and crisis I will remember
