Meteor shower. Fran knocked out the power so there were no lights for miles, and the sky was absolutely stunning. Our neighbors had a generator so we'd all gone over there for cold drinks, and when we came out, there it was. Only a few stones, hence no astronomers had paid attention to it, but if the hurricane hadn't a knocked out power, we wouldn't have been able to see it.
