Our Constitution is the greatest political document in the world. Over the past 30 years the precious protections and rights it guarantees have been severely eroded. Instead of protecting the public, law enforcement and the courts incarcerate more citizens than anywhere else in the world. Laws are made more for the benefit of powerful corporations than the citizens of this country, further eroding our rights. Benito Mussolini, the fascist dictator, stated: "Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." We must stop the erosion of our civil liberties and restore what has been lost or nothing else will matter.
