The claim that voter photo ID laws disenfranchise minority and poor voters is totally false. In Indiana, the voter photo ID law that was upheld by the supreme court earlier this year has a provision that anyone who does not have a driver's license or other valid photo ID can get a free photo ID from the state. During the hearing before the supreme court, attorneys against the photo ID law made that argument, that the law would disenfranchise minorities and the poor - the justices pointed out that they did not have a single example to illustrate that anyone was disenfranchised. The truth is that the far-left is against photo ID's because it makes it more difficult for them to register the dead and illegal aliens.
