Do you have any links to articles that back up your claims above? I have a hard time believing we'll have to apply to the government to sell our houses. That sounds about as credible as the claim that the new energy bill levies a tax of a $175-per-cow fart tax that Sensenbrenner falsely claims is the case. "Go green" is a bit broad. What exactly are we going to have to do in this regard? And how many jobs will be created in "green" industries? BTW - Here’s a link to a summary of HR 2454 written by the Congressional Research Service http://www.govtrack.us/congre... And an excerpt from the summary that references residential properties (which doesn’t tend to indicate that there’s any “governmental approval” required prior to selling a home. Amends the Energy Conservation and Production Act to revise energy conservation standards for new buildings. Requires the Administrator to establish: (1) standards for a national energy and environmental building retrofit policy for residences; and (2) a building energy performance labeling program. Establishes a rebate program to assist low-income households residing in pre-1976 manufactured homes in purchasing new Energy Star qualified manufactured homes. I think you’re just catastrophising over this bill……..
