Something needs to happen with our electoral college...it no longer makes sense when we can count all popular votes...and silly me, that's what I thought was the definition of a democracy. Our vote, our voice should be the only thing heard and counted on election day, or we will never again be able to hold a "fair" election... In 2000, I was left bewildered trying to explain to my two sons, who were 11 and 13 at the time, how in the world we got Bush as our president....and they were so right, it was so wrong! Both are now very active exercising their right to vote and stomping for their man, Obama...I hope this election, their first major election for both of my sons, will not disappoint them, as the 2000 & 2004 elections did...what a travesty.
