I'm glad the penny is still around. There is a local department store that has horses for the kiddies (electric ones) and it costs a penny to ride. Every time I am in that store, I pile a few pennies on the horses so the kids can get a free ride. Hey, where else can you get a big smile for a penny? Sad thing is I have seen adults steal the pennies after I leave them for the kids. Some people would ruin anything. . .
