About Me

My daughter is the biggest joy in my life. My faith, I believe, helps define who I am. I've always been very laid back and even tempered. I had a long career in radio (as a sales rep) and about eight years ago went back to school to become a teacher. I love teaching and working with kids. As my daughter was growing up, I volunteered as a cheerleading coach for our neighborhood athletic association and as a dance coordinator for our church's children's choir. I just wanted to be very involved in her life. It was doing those things that inspired me to work with kids as a career.

I'd like to meet

Hmmm, that I don't really think about. I think it would have been amazing to meet Jesus (as when He walked on earth). I guess I would have liked to have met Anna Anderson, who claimed to be Anastasia. I've always been interested in that subject.

Interests

I love reading, bike riding, camping and playing tennis. As an alum of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I love Tar Heel Basketball (hence my moniker). Go Heels! I'm also a Carolina Panther's fan (although they suck big time) and was a long time Washington Redskins fan, as I was born in DC and have (or had, actually) many relatives in the Southern Maryland, Alexandria and DC area.

Favorite Music

Some of my favorite groups are Aerosmith, Metallica, Scorpions, Led Zeppelin, Queensryche, INXS, The Clash, Talking Heads and I'm sure I'll add more.
Some non-rock favorites are The Sidewalk Prophets (Christian), Earth, Wind & Fire, The Spinners and Tears for Fears.

Favorite TV Shows

Criminal Minds, CSI Miami, Law & Order, Psych and some shows that have been cancelled (sad face).

Favorite Movies

Sound of Music, It's a Wonderful Life, Remember the Titans, Overboard, Gone With the Wind, A Streetcar Named Desire to name a few.

Favorite Books

Besides the Bible, that's a toughie, I've read so many. I'll get back on that one.
