Furthermore, if you are so moved to bring up a new topic, you should start another paragraph to indicate that a new thought is being mentioned. Please also refrain from making assumptions. Questions are good absent of those assumptions. Forgive me for teaching the proper writing techniques; you mentioned you are teaching your children and I think it's crucial that you understand proper writing if you are going to relay it to others.

As far as your "9/11" claim, we don't know how Gore would have handled the situation. We only know how Bush and/or Cheney handled 9/11. Although I was behind Bush during the initial moments of 9/11, their decision to go to Iraq was a mistake... in my humble opinion. (more)
