There is a hwy running from Madison, straight to Milwaukee. Sometimes if we cannot fly in to Madison, we fly to Milwaukee instead.... Interesting when our Lancaster family first emigrated to WI from Yorkshire they lived a year in Milwaukee before moving on to an area 60 miles south of Madison. The family cemetery is named Cudahy even though most people call it Lancaster cemetery.

Yes Lattie! Dixie, Randy and Mrs Lattie were there. My sister, Dixie and Colleen were all best friends growing up. Beth K. and I had Colleen's mom in Sunday School, probably the most well behaved we ever were.

Yep, he's on my friend's list - believe it or not. "He is one of the few liberals that has the stamina to stay with a dead horse!" lol - So true, or so I thought ;)

TY Lou! How are you and what have you been up too? Any news from the NOLA way? My spouse is in Austin tonight. I stayed behind and am holding up the fort here. I enjoy the peace and quiet sometimes!!

Hello Lou! Wow, y'all are busy people! How about your daughter that was in Israel last year? Whats she up to? Is that you oldest daughter?... Go LSU! How about out-of-state tuition, is that pretty high or do your kids qualify as LA residents?... Yes, we can boot the pretender out!

Thanks for the add friend! Rickenbacker actually saved my life but that's another story!! Another heroic individual was Boudicca, Queen of Iceni. What a warrior! I first saw a monument to Boudicca in Great Britain and it piqued my curiosity!

View all 80 comments »Dixie is one of the people I needed to send a card to but didn't. Oh well! Her mother is a fun lady. Did you ever know Mrs. Lattie? She's a hoot. She's also a widow, think Mr. Lattie died in the mid 1980's.
Yes, three weeks, I even had a good excuse but when I told it to the judge in front of the lawyer teams, the judge simply said, he would see me tomorrow at 9am. Huge civil law suit. Deliberations were a b!tch.
Yes I remember! We were ahead of our time. Greece was a blast. I remember the day before we left Athens for Italy I busted my leg through the hotel's window. Who places windows at the end of stairs on the bottom of walls? I still have a scar... Then Mrs. Akers fell and broke her hip so someone else --- the Catholic brothers and sisters, had to adopt us. Remember Brother Nick? We were pen pals for years.
Speaking of NOLA, do you remember a girl's PE teacher at Karr by the name of Canion? She was my 8th or 9th grade PE - Health teacher, sunday school teacher and mother of my sister's best friend. Anyway, she died and was buried down in Fredericksburg the first week of Jan. My sister and I went to that and stayed with the daughter. Do you remember the Laddie family? Some of them were there too.... Jeeech, Fredericksburg is not as close to DFW as many proclaim! We were almost late for the funeral.
I spent 3 weeks on jury duty in December so was unable to get Christmas cards out. I finally finished up New Year cards (with the exception of 3), last Friday.

"I work with a lot of people who are well educated"
I suspected that given your profile pic. Thank you :)
Honestly, I almost rushed my son out of bed this morning thinking he had to go to school. That would have been embarrassing. Fortunately, he's smarter than I am and remembered. lol
Well, that's waaay before my time. My Dad loved the Beatles, used to play them for me all the time. So I inherited it, I guess. Love Zeppelin too...
... may it be filled with joy, happiness & love
Here's a very, very short bio of Boudicca (3 scant paragraphs).
