Hard money? soft money? For every campaign finance law restriction, there's a loop hole or a way around the restriction. Lies and misinformation are part of the political game. The key for me is to recognize which rules apply or impact me and vote accordingly. I'm curious to know how many people donate $2 from their income tax filing towards the presidential elections? I agree with you, however, I posted the initial question because of a question on a job application. I feel the question was inappropriate, but as applications go, if you don't answer, your not going to be selected. For me, the answer is easy, "white/caucasian", however, for some, this question may become much harder to answer, especially if you're doing an on-line application that has a 4 or 5 choices and you can only select 1.
Maybe this isn't a problem and I'm not saying it is, I'm just curious how people deal with it. (more)» Show Raves1 ravesLast Rave: September 21, 2009 21:15:31 Poll Comment -

I know nothing of the contents of the bill, what I do know is insurance. A bill doesn't have to be complex, however, it does require details. As for cost, I'm not willing to look down the road until someone can tell me how much it will cost me each year now. I'm not into scare tactics of what might or might not happen, what I'm concerned with is right now, because right now, we have a problem. (more)

She doesn't particularly like insurance companies because they are slow to accept a treatment or will not approve it altogether. She also stated payment is slow.
For me personally, there is a 3 month wait to get an appointment and generally about a 2 hour wait after arriving at the office. I live in Florida.
I personally think the insurance industry is a bigger threat than our government. It's the insurance industry that forces the high malpractice rates. It the insurance industry that decides what ailments will be covered and which claims get denied. It the insurance industry that sending out lots of misinformation just to cause fear and protect their industry.
I could go on for days about the insurance industry but you get the point. Also, keep in mind, if the insurance industry worked correctly, we wouldn't be having this issue. (more)» Show Raves1 ravesLast Rave: August 20, 2009 17:16:00 Blog Comment -

I don't know what we're looking for here? I did vote for Reagan, however, as time went on, I began to not like him. With regards to health care, when Reagan was President, my premiums were manageable, about $500/year. Now they are about $7000/year. Times have changed and with that change new or different ways of thinking have to be explored in order to afford things like insurance. Reagan's video talked of the issues regarding doctors and their perspective on pay and location of services, etc. I'm asking that you look at it from the patience's perspective. (more)
