Yeah, I think that's West Columbia. Near Highway 1 and the two fleamarkets.

Right now I live in Graniteville, next to Aiken, SC. I am hoping in the future to move to either Charleston or southern Lousiana, where most of my family is. With this tough economy I am having a hard time doing anything, including finding a job. What part of Columbia are you located? I have an idea where things are there, but I know Lexington like the back of my hand, but not so much Columbia. I have a tendency to get lost there. lol

Yep, I made that in sixth grade. It made it into the North Carolina Designer Crafts Guild state fair show this year (whew!) Unfortunately, time is an issue-- the work is slow-moving. I used to make quartz knives, too, when I was younger, and shark-tooth necklaces. Those were always fun.

I didn't think you meant those comments so they didn't bother me. I get carried away with arguing, too. lol
It's my pleasure meeting you, too.
*hugs*
Unfortunately, I don't live near any of the forts. I'm in the Orange County area. Otherwise, I absolutely would. I could probably sell my work online, it's true, but the problem with yarn paintings is that they take long to make and aren't reproducable like prints. I'd much rather work on my lineart, and keep yarn painting as a hobby and an occasional sell, if it comes to that...
Of course, I can always sell at the local bazaar... ;)
I have a chronic fear of sewing machines since my Home Economics teacher in middle school told us the story of what happened to a girl who wasn't paying attention to her machine. Ended up in the hospital with a needle through her finger (ouch!)
I could probably make some money off of it, but in what economy? =O
Glad you found it interesting. Yes, I think if liberals would move a bit to the right and conservatives would move just a bit to the left and apply a bit of patience and open-mindedness, we could find common ground for good compromise and effective and beneficial solutions. But of course, whenever I bring that up on a forum, I might as well have unleashed a rain of fire... X3 A good compromise-- or the very suggestion of it-- leaves everyone angry.
Yarn painting is literally taking yarn and gluing it down (to wood, mainly) to make a painting. I'm currently working on a white fox painting, but this is the only picture I have of what they look like:
This one is a mandala. I made it in sixth grade, and recently got back into the hobby. =) I'm an artist at heart-- I love art. I can wax poetic about it. *____*
