I love June in Ohio...not too hot, not chilly, great evenings, warm afternoons, not muggy yet, blue sky in the Midwest, with very little thunderstorm activity. I reminds me of California.

View all 10 comments »Here we are cruising in July 2012...and we have had several weeks of over 90 F! Today, it will reach 104...again...and break all records. We will be seeing MORE of these scorching temperatures in the future, I'm sure. If not this summer...the summer after that. Al Gore was probably right. In no time in my life, have I seen plus 100 F repeated day after day.
The skeptics certainly should have their paradigms shaken. Lower lows, and higher highs, huh?... Gee. I do not know if Americans in the Midwest can withstand 120 f in another ten years, if the trends are that it is going up. It will certainly overtax the grid.
We will have to start looking for solutions very soon, before we are too hot to think...or work.
My favorite subject is politics.
I may appear liberal...but I can swing on the fence either way depending on the subject. I do tend to sympathize with the Democrats, but I do like to weigh everything before making up my mind.
I am moderate in that I voted for Reagan in 1980 (as best to get the hostages home safely), but not 1984. And, I voted Gov. Arnold of CA as governor, twice, because I thought he made the best governor during his term, when I lived in California. But, I vote Democratic, baring no catastrophic reasons not to, because I see the GOP as more favorable towards the management class.
My next favorite subject is manned missions to Mars and anything related, but I am open to any interesting subject with a hint of controvercy in it.
