About Me

Born in Mineola, N.Y., raised in Oyster Bay, Long Island, N.Y., two sons, one daughter, have seven grandchildren. I won awards for my oil paintings, including private and group showings throughout the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Lagos, Nigeria, while residing in these territories. Associates Degree 1980, major Humanities, Brookdale Community College, Lincroft, New Jersey; attended Rider College, Trenton, N.J.; College Of The Virgin Islands, St. Croix, 1982-1983 Elementary Education; University of Kansas, 1984, BA English. I lived in Apapa, Nigeria, West Africa, outside City of Lagos, mid 1970's; experienced government coup, and Martial Law. I volunteered my time helping African street beggars, volunteered at a Nigerian children's orphan home. A major corporation donated money in my name. My travels took me throughout the United States, Europe, England, Canada, West Africa, British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Barbados, Tobago, St. Thomas, most of the Caribbean.
I held job positions as pre- school teacher in Houston Texas; office manager for Daige Products, manufacturing Corporation, Long Island, New York; sales for AT&T; Home Security Systems; N.Y. Social Service Medicaid dept; receptionist for 12 N.Y. attorneys; nurse's aide on hospital maternity ward at age 16, and Red Cross volunteer, spanning over many years. In CA, my job involved people with mental illness and drug addictions, for Project Return, a Los Angeles County based Organization. They awarded me a Golden Bell award for my services. I have long blonde hair, dark brown eyes, moved to CA in 2001 from N.Y.
