    +2 raves Most of the people I know in other Countries are thrilled for the US and the world that the bully... Most of the people I know in other Countries are thrilled for the US and the world that the bully on the block is gone. They saw that more than 50% of Americans were progressive enough to vote for the "non-oppressive, road to change" choice in the Presidential race. This is evidence to other Countries that we are moving in the right direction. The direction of global cooperation. It is a very small world and what needs to be emphasized is the commonalities of our survival.

    In all candor, many other cultures view Americans as rich and spoiled in spite of the fact that, at this time, the top richest 10% of our population posses 90% of all the wealth in the US. Their media is as misleading as ours. In many cases, governments control the media and they understand the weaponry potential of propaganda affords them and they use it.

    We can't change the misguided perceptions in other Countries. Heck, we can't even change that in our own Country. We can however hold fast to the ideals of our Constitution and Democracy and continue to set a good example.

    Some Countries who are giving up much to "green up" the Planet, feel we should reuse, conserve, and retool as a way of contributing more.

    To those of us who are Americans; We are very blessed to live in America and to be Americans. We should never take this obligation for granted.

    Oh yes, and they think American women are very hot... ;-)     (more)

    He (we) became heir to:
    * a huge budget and National debt (Bush doubled them)
    * 2 wars (questionably unjust)
    * failing economy
    * imminent record job loss
    * bad blood between the US and most other Countries
    * an opposition (Republican) party bent on destroying this Country for their own personal gain

    These are very tough challenges and President Obama meets them every day with a calm mind and a warm heart. I salute him...S!     (more)

    What I think is very respectful to God is the way that Hindu's and Buddhists bow to each other with praying hands and greet each other with the expression "Namaste' " which translates to "The divinity within me honors the divinity within you). The higher you hold your hands and the lower you bow, the more respect you show to the one you are greeting.

    In my opinion, the more respect you give to your fellow man/woman who is created in the image of God, the more respect you show to God.     (more)
