About Me

I prefer animals to people, by far. I work my ass off to provide for my family and do not appreciate the government or other people trying to tell me how to live. I can't stand people who lack the guts to tell you how they feel to your face, but will say all kinds of things behind your back. Superficial and shallow people also make me ill, as do people who spout off like experts without ever doing the work to actually learn about a subject first. I love to be alone and have spent many months alone in the wilderness.....of course, that was before I got married. Now I love to be alone with my wife, and our dogs, at our mountain home. I spent fifteen months in Baghdad working with the Iraqi people, and I found them to be far better people as a whole than most Americans, who are spoiled rotten brats who do not seem to appreciate what they have. We are also very active in trying to preserve what few pristine places still exist on this planet, and I absolutely cannot stand fashion statement liberals who think wearing sandals, spraying themselves with Patchouli scent, talking about 'postive energy', changing a few light bulbs, and Putting Ralph Nader for Preseident bumper stickers on their cars makes them environmental activists, or even good people. The environmental activist is not the person who says the creek is dirty, the environmental activist is the person who cleans it up. So put up or shut the hell up. Oh, and I am a conservative Republican, go figure.

Judge Judy, Modern Marvels, Extreme Engineering, The Amazing race, most anything on the History and Science channels, and NASCAR racing.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...the orginal, not that Johnny Depp crap that takes out all of the meaning of the story, like society today.

The Razor's Edge, because it is one of very few films that actually follows the book and gets the point across, and what a point it is.

A Clockwork Orange, for the same reason.

A Fish Called Wanda, because it is freakin hilarious

How about Lord Stern and everyone who thinks he has a good idea, and everyone who wants to save the planet all kill themselves!! That would cut down greenhouse gas emissions dramatically and immediately. The rest of us will bury you all and then enjoy a nice bar-b-que afterwards. (more)

Second, I cannot watch videos on ths computer, but I do not need video to show me that the anti Islam bashing so popular these days is sheer nonsense.

1)There are over a bilion Muslims on this planet....if it was not a religion of peace, we woud see a whole lot more violence than we do. The fact is most Muslms are decent peope who simply want to raise their families in peace, just like the rest of us.

    2) All this crap about stoning adulterers...........the Ten Commandments are all equal in God's eyes, all mortal sins. Many of those who bash Islam for its harshness in terms of adultery support the death penalty for murder. When I married my wife I made a solemn vow before God.....if I cannot keep a promise I make before God, how can I be trusted with any other? Adultery IS a serious offense and should be dealt with harshly. I LIKE that about Islam.....very much.

    3) These idiots who do not recognize that Jews, Christians, and Muslims all worship the same God of Abraham are simply ignoramouses, and I commend you for ignoring their ridiculous rants........shows you are much more tolerant than they are.

I could go on and on....but you have a much deserved feast to get to. Enjoy, and Salam Alaykum.

I have an uncle who got stuck behind the wall when he was twelve. He went to spend the night at a friend's house and that happened to be the night all travel was cut off. He was never allowed to go home. When the wall came down we were very excited and flew to Germany to see him for the first time since that night.....first time ever for me. He's a bum, a lazy, unmotivated, worthless bum, completely different from anyone else in my family. Life under communism simply killed his spirit. None of us has had anything to do with him since then, nor do we care to. It's very sad, and I am sure not at all uncommon.

In Seattle, if you want a tax hike or any law to pass for environmental concerns, you have to make it apply to Eastern Washington, not Seattle. They just love telling everyone ELSE how to live. That is why there is such a great rift between the East and West (of the Cascades) sides of Washington.

    Slavery?
Hey , slavery sucks. Anyone who was a slave deserves to be compensated by anyone who owned a slave, sure. That means....no one.

My family did not come to this country until after slavery was long past. The first time my mother went to a laudromat in Alabama she told my father they could not do their laundry there because the sign said "Whites Only",......and she had colored clothes to wash as well.

Why should MY tax dollars go to pay for something neither I nor anyone in my family had anything whatsoever to do with?

Get over it and make something of your own lives, quit looking for a damn handout!!
