Considering that there are many convicted murders and pedophiles that get sentenced to less time for their crimes... How can they justify 31 years for throwing shit around????
He should be punished , yes, but 31 years??? Not on my dime.
Better punishment = He has poo flung on him by other inmates for 30 minutes straight. That'll teach him! LOL!

Where Parents were incharge, not the kids..
Parents weren't AFRAID to be incharge, and knew the difference between being a parent to their child , not their 'friend'!
"In the absence of respect , fear will do nicely."
Which means that kids understood that they may not have liked or respected their parents rules and regulations, but they atleast had enough common sense to fear the consequences for breaking them.
Nowadays, it seems way too many kids have lost that ability. Kids who fear nothing and no one end up in terrible, life-threatening situations, that not only affect them, but everyone else too.
Spare the rod, spoil the child....that's the truth

"Nothing beats a good whooping, but another one!"
Or if you're really goood, the 'THREAT' of one ; ) affect spare rod spoil child truth beats whooping goood threat

Just to think that we know more about outter space than we do of our own planet, and it's seas....
Taking care of our planet and our resources should never be a question or a political party's declaration of right v.s. left.
It should be a human beings responsibility done willingly to protect it, for we only have this one planet. You don't know if he's the owner or not.
I was not there, the only ones that know for sure what happened are the people on the scene.

Did the cop jump to conclusion?
He answered a call. How the heck could he tell at that time the guy lived there?

If you saw a guy breaking into a house, and your job is to fight crimes, what would you do?

And just keep in mind, what we think we would do, has little or nothing to do with reality, much less with the training one would recieve to become an officer.

Is it possible that the professor became belligerent and challenging? Especially if he was mad about having to break into his own house.
Maybe being questioned at that time caused him to become even more agitated.
When people are agitated/irritated, they can become defensive, and when a person is defensive, they begin to lose rational thought causing further acting out behaviors.
    That's a fact.
Keep in mind, there's always two sides to every story.
Let's get them straight before jumping to judgement.

  • +5 raves I'm very sorry for your loss Mike. It's very beautiful, and I 'm crying like a baby.... I'm very sorry for your loss Mike.
It's very beautiful, and I 'm crying like a baby. This has significant meaning to me at this time.
This has been a very difficult year so far.
I lost a dear friend of mine in Sept. and I'm going to a service for a friend who just turned 40 only a few short months ago, tomorrow.
Both died suddenly and unexpectantly. Both leave behind wives and children. And both were my buddies, who didn't mind letting a girl hang out with them, ever...
I knew them both since I was 12 years old. We were all suppossed to get old together.
It's in time like these that I comfort myself by saying that God must have needed our friends more than we do . God needed more angels.
I know it sounds simple, but it helps me feels less bad knowing my friends iare looking out for me.
No more pain. No more suffering.. Only happiness..
I look forward to meeting them again someday.
An once again, I just know in my heart, that they won't mind letting a girl hang out with them.
I will pray that God lessen your pain and lift you up when it's difficult to do it yourself.
God bless and hang in there.
hang pray god lessen pain lift difficult god bless hang

  • +9 raves I, like the rest of the suppossed 'homeowners' here, likes to think we own our home, but... I, like the rest of the suppossed 'homeowners' here, likes to think we own our home, but the truth is that even when it's paid in full, we still don't own it because the minute we stop paying taxes on our property, is the time that property can be taken away from us.
So we really never "own" a piece of land.
It's more like We lease it.
Don't get me started on Eminent Domain.....which allows the government to take your land if it's deemed necessary.. and they don't have to pay you fair market value. They can pay you below city assessment for it. and if you refuse, they can either raise the taxes real high or lower the value of the house so you owe more than you'll ever get for it in return. Either way, if they want your land, they can take it. assessment refuse raise taxes real high house owe return land assessment refuse raise taxes real high house owe return land
