  • Un-patriotic Cowards approve of torture! Truly brave Americans go forth using "morallity" and the rule of law as a sheild.
    * It stops more bullets than kevlar and torture!

  • * Obama's bipartisan rhetoric and outreach was aimed at presenting Republicans politicians and activists with a choice that would be beneficial to the administration. The Democratic Party wins no matter which way the GOP-ers go.
    * Either, enough GOP-ers cooperate (making enactment of Obama's agenda easier) and perhaps splitting the GOP. Or, they further isolate themselves, helping Democrats expand (short and long-term). Republicans have decisively chosen the second course; their harvest? Increasing shrill support from a shrinking party base.
    * There's increasing evidence the shrinkage of the GOP will likely continue (despite the 'McCarthy'/Nixon like effort to fight over the Obama budget as a choice between socialism and Americanism. 27 percent of self-identified Republican voters approve of Obama's budget priorities AND explicitly favor his approach to the economy (vs. NO from congressional Republicans).
    * Talk all you want, about how the rank-and-file Republican support for Obama has sunk, it is just that, only talk.

  • Successful? You are if the honest answer to 2-Questons is YES!
    .....a) Do you like who you see in the mirror?
    .....b) When you die, will you have left your corner of the planet a better place?
    * Nothing left to do but Smile, Smile, Smile
    * Everyday is a nice day...at worst.

We should always be able to find common ground through civil discource (too bad newt accelerated personal attacks as 'normal' behavior). Respect for diversity results in tolerence which leads to broader agreement; which, ultimately, is the secret to America's success. (more)

    * The Palastinians were used as pawns (by the surrounding autocratic regimes during the 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 'Wars of Anihilation") and still are. Clearly, these same autocrats use this 'wedge issue of occupation' to divert their peoples attention away from their own failings. Nor do these oil rich nations offer the Palastinians productive aid such as SCHOOLS (not hate preaching Madras') or cut off 'secret funding' of terrorism.
    * It is important to understand that all Mid-East countries (sans Egypt) were created by the Western Powers following WWI then Israel after WWII. This included the installation of the Shah of Iran. So all have equally valid/invalid claim to their land. All are now existing realities and here we are.
    * The combined forces of 5 countries (w/ a population of 100,000,000 million) were the aggressors each time. What was the alternative for the 2-3,000,000 Israelis (Holocost victims and their immediate descendents) as they were literally fighting for their very exiistence.
    * After each attack Israel "occupied' more land as a legitimate defensive measure...Never to conquer & hold! Israel doesn't want war and has always wanted to return the land in exchange for a secure border. Sadat & Begin (sworn enemies 'figured this out') and the slow process of a lasting peace began. {It was relgious whackos, from each country, that assasinated both of them...for having the audacity to promote a just & peaceful co-existence.}
    * Same as anywhere else...extremist elements delay peaceful resolutions. Ultimately, through an educated populace, PEACE is the inevitable outcome!

The one time Biologist in me knows the above FDA standards are pefectly reasonable and safe. It goes to show that the way a statement or question is put forth significant. ex. Raisins: 35 fly eggs would weigh approx. 1000th of an ounce (cover an unseeable area that is 1/10 of a pin head) the court nade a fair ruling. (more)
