About Me

I have two adult children, boys, one 29 and one 27. Our 27 year old has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and is now confined to bed. My husband cares for him at home and I work.

Ty Pennington. I want him to do an Extreme Home makeover for us. PLEASE! Boy that's a tough one. . . maybe Angelina Jolie. I think she is a great role model for a "movie star" being the activist that she is. Oh, Johnny Depp! Love him! Leonardo DiCaprio because he looks like my oldest son. I would like to meet Barack Obama. He seems like such a genuine soul.

Watching movies with my son. Love to go out to the bar and hear a good band, Charlie and the Stingrays are a local band that I go see occasionally. Don't get out very often though, spend time with my son while I can.

I LOVE muscle cars! sorry, I know that's not environmentally friendly but I grew up with them. I had a Camaro Z28 but my husband totaled it so I am driving a Dodge Charger now. Not exactly a muscle car but I refuse to drive less than a 6 cylinder. I justify my transporation by living close to my job vs. the people that live 40 miles away.

70's rock. Heart, ZZTOP, Carol King, Styx, Journey. My favorite song of all time is Spirit in the Sky. I want that played at my memorial service.

Ellen, The View, Regis & Kelly, although I don't get to see them very often. My son and I do watch Survivor. And I'm dying for Rescue Me to come back on!! Liked The Riches. Shows on satellite have too short a season.

The Notebook
Gone with the Wind
The Big Chill - all time favorite!

Not much a reader. In my youth I was an avid reader, don't know what happened. Maybe failing eyesight has something to do with it.

In this life we cannot always do great things but we can do small things with great love. Mother Teresa

We must become the change we want to see in the World. Mahatma Ghandi

The greater part of our happiness depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances. Martha Washington

My son is my hero. To live the lot he's been dealt and he is a great person! I've always thought your attitude has a lot to do with how long you live with an illness. My son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and he is a pretty well adjusted guy for what he deals with. I don't think I could be as good natured as he is, in his situation.
