About Me

High interest in people even if they're loony tunes! I find life in general a fascinating subject and strive toward understanding in all its depth and breadth.

As many people as possible.

Writing, interacting, helping people in any way I can.

The Arts, education, sports, religion, politics ... all the hot topics.

Emotional whether its blues, rock, rock and roll, country, R&B;, hip hop, rap or opera

I don't watch TV but I used to. My favorite shows were gunsmoke, the lone ranger, Happy Days, the Carol Burnett Show, The Ed Sullivan Show and all of the westerns from Cisco Kid to Branded. But the one I would never miss was STAR TREK and saw every episode from the very beginning.

My Fair Lady, Fifth Element, Miss Congeniality, Jerry Maguire, anything with Whoopi Goldberg, the Matrix series, Star Trek, Star Wars, almost any SciFi, almost any romantic comedy, Will Smith movies, Lord of the Rings series, etc.

Stephanie Plum series, Dianetics and all the Scientology books, Battlefield Earth, Mission Earth series, stuff by Neil Gaimon, Ruled by Secrecy, etc.

"The greatest joy there is in life is creating. Splurge on it!" L Ron Hubbard.

Mr. L Ron Hubbard, Mr. David Miscavige, Mr. Heber Jentz, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Ghandi, Buddha, and anyone else who was brave enough to stand up and say "something can be done about it" and spend their entire life stating the truth as they saw it despite public opinion, offering another solution than destructive measures and helping people because they loved their fellow man. These are the true heroes!

  • I don't know how I ended up as a soda head but while I'm here, are there any other elderly ex-hippies who saw it all from the 50's out there? Or am your only senior citizen? I'm ticked off about the way this campaign is going, the way the economy is going, the illiteracy and lack of education I saw in the comments from those supporting McCain. Is there anyone else out there who lived through segregation, the cold war, Viet Nam, Nixon? Any college grads who can spell correctly? If so, I may have stumbled into the right place.

But I can't honestly answer it because, frankly, I don't usually judge people. It's not my job. What they are, what they do, I have found is a composite of experience and choices that is far too complex to fathom let alone toss into categories. In my over 60 years of meeting people, I have never found two people exactly alike, no matter what groups they belong to. I've seen a lot of trouble caused when certain people confuse the identity of "a group" with an individual. BUT, In reverse, some people cling to the identity of the group as who they are, which can lead to a lot of trouble, too. identity group individual reverse people cling identity group lead trouble (more)

I'd probably talk with them until I found out what was behind the comment. It seems silly but happens a lot that people will attend a service, lecture or show just to notice and comment on things they don't like. They are usually critical and judgmental people who do this all the time. But sometimes it's a temporary thing and a little communication handles it. (more)

Can we now press charges against all sales people, political campaigners and our parents?! That Church has a refund policy just like any other "satisfaction guaranteed" offer. I'd like to see that personality test. Might be fairly revealing. How does this stack up against forcible institutionalization by psychiatrists who decide your behavior is a danger to yourself and others. What kind of mental pressure is THAT? This is OBVIOUS prejudice and its resultant attack. I've gotten more "mental manipulation" from advertising than I ever have from a Scientologist. And this is "Organized Fraud"? What a joke! Especially coming from France. (more)
