About Me
I was forced to retire (outsourced), got another job, left it to do a better paying job for company that retired me, then had a stroke. I have a cognizant memory problem(?) whatever that means, but I do get very frustrated at myself when I do stupid things, which I do a lot.
I live in the country and my grandson started bringing miniature horses in. So, I feed, hay, water and pick up poop! There are now about 32-36 (I lose count) horses, all miniature, here for me to tend to. Most of the time I love it!! I think they are great!! Especially when a new one is born. It is so rewarding! Some of the time, it's not so great like when it is cold and rains, or so hot that I can go through at least three changes of clothing per day! My grandson says, it keeps me young!!I I do not think he pays close attention to my wrinkles and energy level. Things like that are not important to 24 year olds -- yet. Three years later which is now (2012), I had to give up the horses. My grandson moved his minihorses to a larger place and I was left with 6 of my own. After a few babies were born and the summer started, I had to sell all my minis because I just couldn't take the humidity and heat any longer. I still miss them terribly.
I am Southern through and through, born and bred. And I love it!! I like to joke about it. Alabama football is my favorite sport - ROLL TIDE!!!
I also volunteer for a Bichon rescue group. I adopted my first Bichon (shown on my profile pic) a couple of years ago. He was 13 years old. Then I tried fostering them. I flunked two times and passed only once. So now, I have three of the cutest Bichons I've ever seen. They are so much company to me.
I have been a Master Gardener for 2 years and have always loved gardening. I compost among other things. The horse poop is helping!! I like to grow vegetables, flowers and herbs. I occasionally plant a small shrub. Roses are my favorites, but they need sun and there are a bunch of huge oak and hickory trees at my place. Some of the smaller trees have been removed and I hope to be able to find enough room with sun to have roses, like I did about ten years ago at my previous home. So beautiful!! Neighbors would stop by and admire. So rewarding!
I love chocolate and other sweet things. I love good old Southern country cooking and don't get much into the fancy stuff. I also like Mexican and Chinese food.
I am a nursery worker at my church and just love the children!! One never knows what they are going to do or say!! Interesting to say the least.
I love people and enjoy talking to them. I learn a lot from them about what to do and what not to do! I'll never stop learning.
Needless to say, I am home a lot. There is always lots to do.

I'd like to meet
Sarah Palin because I like her outlook, values and attitude. And she is so unpretentious. She is not a negative person - which I think is a very important trait.
George W and Laura Bush - to thank them and let him know how I appreciate him for the way he handled 9/11.
Rush LImbaugh - a VERY knowledgeable man!
Carrie Underwood - she has a great voice and is gorgeous. Seems to be a great person.

Interests
As stated above, my interests involve dogs, horses and gardening and my church.
When time permits, I like to read a good book. But what time?
My music interests have always been in the oldies. They just do not make them like they used to. I have also gotten back into the country music since it is not as sad as it used to be.
I am a dedicated Alabama football fan, but only watch them on television. Don't go to games, can't afford it and don't particularly like the crowds - anywhere.
I attend a small church and enjoy every minute of it!! I have learned so much about the Bible but realize that there is so much left to learn!!
However, these latest politics have sparked my interests as well. I try really hard to keep up. I know what I believe in and am trying to have a say-so.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. - Although it was on a commercial, it really struck me as being so true.

Cognizant memory problem is basically altered mental status: refers to general changes in brain function, such as confusion, amnesia (memory loss), loss of alertness, loss of orientation (not cognizant of self, time, or place), defects in judgment or thought, poor regulation of emotions, and disruptions in perception, psychomotor skills, and behavior. While an altered mental status is obviously characteristic of a number of psychiatric and emotional conditions, medical conditions and injuries that cause damage to the brain can also cause mental status changes.

yes you are...very polite...I have had a lot of people who disagree with my opinions, and if they can say it in a polite way, instead of being ugly and nasty, i appreciate that..and I can deal with it..but the person who thinks they are going to be a smart ass with rudemess and name calling, i just block them....as often as needed, and i don't feel bad about it one bit...take care,...have a great evening...

Take care.
BTW, I read some information on your profile, you are a Master Gardener. I am an intern for the Master Gardener program, I graduate mid- April. It is so much fun and am learning a lot of new stuff.
