Isn't sewerage treated, the water treated further, then released into rivers which eventually feed reservoirs etc, before being fully purified for drinking? In London they used to say each glass of water had been through 9 pairs of kidneys before you drink it.
And as for water drwan from rivers then purified, just think of all the things fish do in it... (more) -
