Although he is not a talented orator, he strikes me as a very smart and gifted negotiator. He has consistently outmaneuvered his opponents with amazing subtlety. It takes superior brain power to repeatedly do a suave end-run around one's political foes. That is one of the reasons that he is so vilified by the Left. My problem with GW is that he isn't conservative enough. (more)

The answer is "YES" for all those who act like the wild pigs: those who are content to allow the government to provide the free corn to them and their herd. Wild pigs are liberal Democrats; more accurately described as the National Socialist Wild Pig Party.

    They either have forgotten or never knew the value of individual liberty and self-reliance. They are the useful idiots who vote for liberal promise-makers (corn thieves). The liberal promise-makers take the property of others at the point of a gun (corn, i.e. IRS taxes) and seduce the greedy, ignorant wild pigs (Democrat voters) into their fence of dependency.

    It's an amazing phenomenon to observe: People who otherwise could run free and take care of themselves have become willing to sell their freedom and their souls for someone else's corn. The tragedy of this is the fact that the creeping fence is encircling all of us as more and more Wild Pigs vote for the liberal promise-makers (Corn Thieves). We can thank our government schools (more corn) for turning out the millions of pathetically ignorant Pigs to vote for even more corn (Socialism). Hillary Clinton and Obama are liberal Democrat socialists (Corn Thieves).

    +4 raves I can certainly understand why many of us have cut back on one of life's little pleasures - t... I can certainly understand why many of us have cut back on one of life's little pleasures - that of cruising around to relax and clear the mind. I still like to do that because it does relax me to have that short respite to sit back, reflect, and maybe listen to a some Tom Petty, the Cars, Cold Play ("Yellow"), the Yardbirds, Fleetwood Mac, the Temptations, Brad Paisley, the Beatles, Jackie Wilson, or a little top-shelf Blue Grass. Maybe even a bit of talk radio. Eclectic, huh? And that's only the tip of the iceberg - or bottom of the flame! Good music and news talk are where you find them.

    PS. Off subject, but I have found that even a regular type-A male like myself can "tear up" after absorbing "Yellow" by Cold Play. Hint: Listen to it two or three times (hit repeat) and do that faithfully over a few days. Your reaction might surprise you. Surprised me!     (more)

Fox certainly isn't conservative, however. The lion's share of it's reporters slant to the left but are able to appear somewhat objective, compared to the ones on CNN, ABC, etc.

    Hannity, although not a news reporter, holds his own quite well but there are very few others who demonstrate a solid conservative stance. I no longer bother watching the liberal news (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, C-Span, etc). I already know their spin: half-truths and lying by omission.

    I am a former liberal who thankfully began to grow up intellectually and weaned myself from the nanny state mentality. Liberalism (socialism) destroys the incentives and ultimately the basis for a truly free economy. Useful idiots naively buy into the siren songs of the Left: It is the doctrine of envy, greed, and dependency. I know the seductive socialist whispers quite well, as I was hoodwinked by their fained "compassion". It made me feel like I was a very "good" person to be willing to use other peoples' money and property to make things "fair". I began to realize that all of it was a smokescreen to gain elitist state-enforced power over the masses via progressive income taxes, state-controlled health care, government schools, and on and on.

    The Left gains control by misrepresenting what its true goals are. They promise free bounty from the public coffers and use that bait to ensnare millions of the less-informed as their dependents (read VOTERS). True compassion involves allowing people to stand on their own feet and to become self-reliant. That is where human dignity flourishes. Socialists hate that concept of the self-reliant individual because it negates the public "need" for their empty promises, therefore leaving the elitists without their most necessary drug: POWER over the masses.

    I am so grateful that I finally woke up (a process requiring several years) and was finally able to appreciate the amazing miracle of our Constitution and the freedoms that it grants - and assumes as God-given, natural rights of the individual. Ms. Hillary R. Clinton, for example, has preached against the concept of the individual for years. She and her ilk are extremely dangerous to freedom and liberty. She and her accomplices promote many of the sneaky oppressions and outright assaults on personal liberty that we fought to escape when we fought the Revolutionary War.     (more)
